Filezilla Download
execute filezilla
log in to filezilla
open up bukkit plugins
Go to bukkit dev page
hit the download link but check the last update date
Your computer is in the left hand screen (navigate to where the jar file was downloaded) the server is on the right hand screen navigate to the plugin folder
Log into console, run save-all command, shut server down
left click the plugin and drag from your computer to the plugin folder
Refresh the plugin folder to make sure the file is copied successfully
Start the server then stop the server
This will create a folder for the plugin that will have the .jar config file inside (may need to refresh, not all jars have config files)
Create a new folder on your computer
Copy the config file over to your computer (left click, drag and drop)
Right click and click open
If not used before you may see this message the first time
Navigate to the config file on your computer (not through filezilla) try to open the file and you will get this message
Click the choose program option
Choose a program, my preference is wordpad
I missed a few images out but basically go back to filezilla and click open again to view the config file, you can make changes to this file and hit save
When you hit save you will see this message
Click no ( you will see this message a few times i always click no to it.
Next right click the config file on your computer again but this time click the edit button. Dont make any changes but click file, then save as. Change the save as option to UTF-8
It will ask if you wish to overwrite the config file you have on the computer you are gonna want to hit yes to this
Drag your new config file over to the server (left click, drag & drop) and you will see this message
http://s15.postimage.org/bz6hy49ez/overwrite.jpg
you are going to want to click yes to this. If you have made changes you may notice the files size go up after a refresh, this is a good indication that everything is as it should be.
You can now start the server, i would recommend that you keep an eye on console to make sure there are no errors.
When editing a config file, its best to make sure you do the following,
Make a back up of an unedited config
save-all before
ALWAYS use file save as UTF-8
Never use tabs only use spaces
